    Automatic Mini

I have a problem with my gears, i've been told (by a rover mechanic) that its my torque converter. I've received a quote for a replacement gear box which is fairly high in price as well as a quote to have it re-conditioned. I am unsure of which to go for, can anyone advise?

The reconditioned one should come with at least a 90-day warrantee. If it doesn't, don't buy it!

Remember, a "new" part becomes used as soon as you install it, at least with a rebuild; the parts that are subject to wear have been replaced. Unless you're a purist, my advice is to go with the rebuild.
