    HEY BILL YOUNG!

June 23-26 is the SkillsUSA competition in your hometown, KC, MO, at Bartle hall.

These are the best technicians in the country. All state winners who will come together in competition to see who is #1 in the nation. There are well over 100 trades represented.

I'm there just about every year giving support my student-competitors (7 of the last 10 years). Are you going to that? It's a great place to find employees that are competent or just to see the show..it's very cool!

If you plan to go, let's hook-up and I'll buy!

    Re: HEY BILL YOUNG!

Would love to meet you Davey. It will have to be Monday or Tuesday, I leave Wednesday night for the Spridget 50th Anniversary Party at Lake Of The Ozarks. http://www.sprite-midgetclub.org/    I hadn't planned on going, hadn't even heard about it, but sounds interesting. I'm still a working stiff, so have to ply my trade from 7 to 3:30, but I only work about a half mile from Bartle Hall so meeting you shouldn't be a problem.

Drop me a line at bkyoung@planetkc.com and we'll figure out a connection.

Davey, thanks for the offer but it looks like our schedules just didn't work out. I did look at the website for the Skills USA and it's indeed a worthy cause you have volunteered to help. Wish I could have visited with you and your team. Spridget 50 was a blast, wouldn't have missed that for the world. Definitely a once in a lifetime type event.

Yes, Bill, I was very busy there and couldn't find the time to get in touch. I'm glad that you had a blast at Spridget 50...wish I had gone!

     Maybe next year...

    Re: HEY BILL YOUNG!

There's talk of doing it again for the Midget 50th in 2011. Meanwhile I took a few photos and posted them on flicker. http://www.flickr.com/photos/28194759@N08/sets/72157605896446888/

Gryf Ketcherside also posted some on flicker, almost 300 I believe. http://www.flickr.com/photos/safety_fast/sets/72157605873860590/

That should keep you busy for a while. By the way, a hearty thanks to Moss as one of the sponsors whose support made the event possible.

Hello Tony. Yes, I visit this board as well as the others. Can't keep me out of a "Pub" where MGs are under discussion. Wink
