Don't know if this was well known but I found an error in the US edition Haynes (ISBN 0 85696 623 1)

The crankpin journal diameter spec is stated as 1.8579 to 1.8764 in. suggesting a range of 0.0185 in !!!!

From the MGB Worshop manual this is stated as 1.8759 to 1.8764 in, a range of 0.0005 in.

Haynes trouble again.....

Though not quite as critical as the crank journals, spark plug gaps for 25D distributors are mis-specified at 32 thou. Factory manual states 24 to 26 thou, as does the info printed on the rather nice wing (fender) protector Mrs H bought me for christmas last year.

At least Haynes is printed on absorbent paper.

There's the Bentley shop manual for 1962-'74 or 1975-'80 (see Moss catalogue front section)

However, I found (and sorry I lost the link) a PDF of the 14th edition on-line some while back, with all 420+ pages. Google might just be your friend and turn something up
