say good buy to the old lucus alternators

this is just grand i was able to end the charging nightmare by fitting my 1980 mgb with a 96 amp delco alternator from a 1991-1997 saturn for around $84 with a lifetime warranty it,s just crazy the thing just bolted right up with no modification .

No modifications at all?! No modified J bracket to fit, etc. What did you use for the electical connection?

You may have to clock the housing.  The electrical connections are different.  A plug for the Saturn alternator is readily available at most autoparts stores.  You will need a new pulley.  Other than that it bolts right up.

    Kimberly,

Sounds like you have done this before, or have seen it done. So, to help the ignorant, what kind of pulley does it require, or would the one from the MG fit? I just put a rebuilt Lucas alternator on my '77 and it's doing fine. Possibly down the road this might be a consideration. Certainly a lot easier than some of the other Lucas to Delco conversions I've seen.
