    Hardtop Weather Stripping

I have a old plexiglass hardtop for my 1978 Midget but it needs the weather stripping on the bottom, that provides a cushon/seal between the body and the top, replaced.  Does anybody know where I can purchase this?  Moss doesn't seem to handle it.

     Thanks,

    Bruce

    Bruce,

Here is a link to Moss UK http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=1677 UK book has a lot of items we can"t get here.  The shipping is a little pricey but I've never been disappointed.

    Doug,

Unfortunately, they list the item as Not Available, but thanks anyway.  Maybe somebody else will know of a source.

I have a 78 Spit that had the same problem.......ended up making my own with a garage door weatherstrip---the one that goes along the bottom of the door. Takes some time and patience, trimming and glueing it down. I used black silicon sealant and glued a little at a time, holding in place with small clamps( clothes pins work) until that section had set up. It is a bit thicker than the original but makes a good seal.

    Try the following company: http://www.smoothline.com/classic_sports_cars_MGs.php

They are now building the old Parrish hard tops. A few years back I was still able to get the correct top to body gasket and window gaskets.
