Attempting to bleed the brakes I find the bleed valve is on the bottom of the cylinder. This leaves an air chamber above the valve. Anyone have any comments? Have the wrong cylinders been installed sometime? ??

I am contemplating an engine rebuild for my 1973 MGB (Noth American Spec). The engine serial number is "18GH - RWE - H38831". My 73' MGB's headlights won't switch to high beams. Also when you turn on the lights in the parking position the tail lights and dash lights go out.
