Hi all,
I'm looking at doing some improvements to my braking system. I'm going to install the Frontline rear disc conversion kit from Moss. My question is on the front.
Would changing the front discs to Cross drilled/slotted with ceramic pads be enough of an improvement or should I consider the 9'' conversion kit from Frontline?
I drive in the ...

Hello again Sannyasi.
The brake pipes are specific to the car. You need to go to http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=29229&SortOrder=21 and determine:...1- Is your car equipped with disk wheels or wire wheels.2- Does your car call for the 183-048 or the 183-008. It depends on your car's Commission Number.
If ...

I have a 74 Midget that the rear brake adjuster is seized. I have tried every trick I have on removing it and am left with a seized adjuster that has a hole through it (slightly off center). I heated, beated, soaked in oil, and prayed. Any other suggestions? How does the backing plate come off? Where can I find a new one?

Hi,
I'm in the process of rebuilding my front suspension and brake system and since I have to repaint the front brake calipers, I'd like to know what's the original color for my 1969 MGB-GT. Mine are painted silver, as well as the brake drums, but I think they should both be matt black. Does anyone know the right option? thanks in advance.

I am preparing to replace the hubs and wheels on my 1970 B due to worn splines. I have picked up some brake parts and will be refreshing them and will repack the bearings while I am there. Are there any other things I should look for or gotcha's I should prepare for?

After winter storage, the brakes do not fully release, with all 4 wheels semi-locked. The car can be driven, but there is considerable additional friction. When I pump the pedal, it feels "dead". The master cylinder is a replacement, purchased new from Moss about 7 or 8 years ago. I use a silicone brake fluid. I suspect a problem with ...

Well, I think I have this one dialed, but want to run it past the "experts" here.
After sitting for two months this winter (outside, covered) the MG has a soft brake pedal. Not totally soft, but it takes full stroke to stop, then the pedal is firm. The master cylinder was low when I started the car, but not empty.
I figure that I (a) ...

I have a 79 MGB I have installed new front brakes(rotors etc,) new rear brakes), shoes cylinders) and a new Master cylinder. I have bled the brakes many times and I still have no brakes. I can pump the pedal and it will maintain pressure for a while but after I release it I have zero pedal again. I just purchased a EEZIBLEED ...

I recently did a brake job on my 1959 MGA. I bleed the system and my brakes still do not work properly. When I press the pedal it goes to the floor, if a pump the pedal it gets firm and stays firm but if I release the pedal for 15 seconds it goes to the floor again when I press it. I can not find any leaks in the ...

I recently rebuilt the brakes on my '57 MGA roadster. New cylinders on the front, rebuilt on the back, new shoes all around. I've re-adjusted all six adjusters three times. When I brake, the car initially pulls to the right, and then straightens out back to the left. I'm at wits end. I've been ...
