Okay, so i inherited this wonderful 1950 MGTD and back in the day I had another and rebuilt it. I intend to rebuild this one also. But there is something on the back of the motor (mostly assembled motor) to which the flywheel would be attached. It is an aluminum ring or housing or something aluminum. It is held together by two hex ...

I noticed as I was tearing down my oil pump that the main shaft circlip which was purchased from Moss a number of years ago, is rubbing the oil pump cover because it is too large. It actually moves the oil cover around. While looking on line I found a link that described this very issue and that it was brought to Moss motors ...

Has anyone installed a rear main oil seal kit (in a '51 TD) without removing the crankshaft? The installation instructions assume that the crank is out but I would like to know if it would be a problem to install the kit without removing it. I will be installing the 5 speed conversion and thought that I would install the new seal at the same ...

I removed the nut and can move the bolt but not remove it. The distributor refuses to budge ...

During restoration, the restorer states that the engine was in such good shape that he did not need to rebuild it. The restoration was done about 7 years ago, and the car has been used very ...

My newly acquired TD came complete with a new camshaft that I am in the process of installing. Having removed the old camshaft I notice that the centre cam bearing (63) has only one dowel pin but two holes indicating that there should be two pins. Could anyone tell me should there be two pins or one. I am very new to the TD so want to get it right.

I am re-building a 1951 TD with MGA engine and drive train. I started over and am completely rebuilding the car from the ground up. The engine (1500) will be ready in a couple weeks so I am now deciding what to do with the electrical system. I will also be replacing the wiring harness. Since this car is far from original I ...
