electric radiator fan

Since the PO removed the fan blade and installed the electric fan long ago, I am wondering if I can just remove the fan clutch from the waterpump? That would give me almost an extra inch to fit the new radiator.

radiator and cowl are hung up on the head of the bolt on the right and the fan clutch on the left
