Genuine Narrow Whitewall Tire
Unlike wide whitewalls that extend all the way to the bead, narrow whitewalls stop short, creating a slimmer band of exposed white rubber. This bright white rubber is integrated directly into the tire sidewall during the initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a durable, high-quality finish after vulcanization. This clean, refined style rose to popularity in the early 1960s and eventually replaced the wider whitewall designs.
Bias Ply Construction
Bias ply construction was the standard for passenger cars and light trucks from the early 1900s through the 1970s. These tires use ply cords laid at 45-degree angles to the bead in a crisscross pattern, creating a strong and durable structure.
