US Royal 1" Whitewall Bias Ply Tire - 560-15
U.S. Royal Narrow Whitewall tires were original equipment fitments on many of the iconic freeway cruisers of the 1960s. Whitewall tires were especially popular on full-size sedans and luxury vehicles of the era. Today, Coker Tire Company offers a complete lineup of authentic U.S. Royal tires, manufactured in the USA using original molds and backed by a lifetime tread warranty.
Genuine Narrow Whitewall Tire
Unlike wide whitewalls that extend all the way to the bead, narrow whitewalls stop short, leaving a slimmer band of exposed white rubber. The white rubber is integrated directly into the tire sidewall during the initial construction of the carcass, creating a durable, high-quality finish after vulcanization. This design became popular in the early 1960s and eventually replaced the wider whitewall style.
Bias Ply Construction
Bias ply construction was widely used from the early 1900s through the 1970s on passenger cars and light trucks. These tires feature ply cords laid at 45-degree angles to the bead in a crisscross pattern, resulting in a strong and durable structure. While they may follow road irregularities more than modern radial tires, bias ply tires offer an authentic driving experience for classic restorations.
