TKO 5-Speed Transmissions

TKO 500: Rated for a continuous 550 HP and 500 ft/lbs of torque, this gearbox has a low 3.27 1st gear and .68 5th gear. This is the most popular choice for the 1981-1993 XJS HE which has a 2.88 rear-end ratio. The low first gear gives dramatically better acceleration without changing the differential ratio. 5th gear is excellent for low-rpm cruising above 70 mph. Top speed is increased.
TKO 600: This gearbox will handle more than 700 HP and has a 2.87 1st gear and a choice of a .64 or .82 5th gear. These ratios are best suited to cars equipped with a 3.54 differential. The .64 5th gear is excellent for efficient high-speed cruising, whereas the optional .82 5th gear is excellent for road racing or other applications where you do not want a large rpm drop between 4th and 5th gears. Top speed is increased.

- All Classic British products are warrantied to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of invoice.
- All superchargers, supercharger components, and supercharger hardware are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from date of invoice.
- Moss Motors, Ltd. will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that fails in service within the warranty period. This warranty does not cover labor, failure of related components, normal wear of brake or clutch components or failure resulting from alteration, misuse, accidental damage, faulty installation, or faulty repair.
- Warranty requests should be submitted to our sales department and must be supported by the original Moss Motors purchase invoice and documentation of the failure.
