Introducing the Moss MGB Turbo Kit
Experience a massive leap in performance without sacrificing OEM-like drivability. The Moss MGB Turbo Kit is a comprehensively engineered, bolt-on forced induction solution designed to spool up quickly with minimal lag, providing exceptional low-end torque and power throughout the RPM band. Depending on your selected upgrades, you can expect a 57% to 76% increase in maximum horsepower and a 40% to 95% increase in maximum torque over a stock naturally aspirated engine.
Blow-Thru Carburetor Technology
Our kit utilizes a specially prepared HIF “blow-thru” carburetor setup, which improves throttle response and allows for easier cold starts vs past draw-through setups. The fuel bowl is pressurized through a boost reference signal ported directly through the inlet elbow. The rising-rate fuel pressure regulator increases fuel pressure at a 1:1 ratio with boost, maintaining proper pressure differentials and preventing flooding.
Simplified Reliability
Based on thousands of miles of real-world testing, our system operates safely without the complexity of blow-off or diverter valves. At our recommended boost levels, we noted zero signs of compressor flutter or damage, offering you a cleaner, more reliable engine bay.
Cooling & Safety
The K03 turbo uses engine coolant to maintain optimal temperatures. We highly recommend flushing the engine block and upgrading to a new aluminum radiator to handle the extra thermal load.

What's Included in the Base Kit
We’ve engineered a comprehensive package requiring only basic permanent modifications (like tapping the oil pan). The base kit features:
- Modified K03-Style Turbocharger: Based on the original Borg-Warner design, but specially modified for use with the MGB.
- Built-in Wastegate: Pre-set to a reliable 6 PSI of boost.
- Fuel Delivery Upgrade: A Walbro High-Capacity Electric Fuel Pump combined with a Malpassi "Rising Rate" Turbo Fuel Pressure Regulator ensures reliable fuel flow under boost.
- Specialized Carburetion: Specially-prepared SU HIF 44 Turbo "Blow-Thru" Carburetor with a Turbo Tune.
- Custom Manifolds: Bespoke Cast Iron Exhaust Manifold and an Aluminum Intake Manifold with Carburetor Inlet Elbow.
- Premium Plumbing: Silicone intake/charge hoses, a high-capacity cone air filter, and all necessary hardware, fittings, and oil lines for seamless installation.
- 2.5" Downpipe: Bolts directly to Moss exhaust systems or can be custom-welded to your existing setup.

Upgrades & Supporting Components

Stage 1: Cold Air Intake Kit (1962-76)
150-255
Yields 5-20°F cooler intake air temps . More power and increased resistance to detonation . Requires cutting radiator support.

Stage 2: Intercooler & Boost Controller Kit (1962-76)
150-260
Drops intake temps up to 45°F and safely enables increasing boost up to a recommended 8 PSI. Requires Cold Air Intake Kit.

Moss MGB Turbo Bolt-on Exhaust
150-265
The absolute easiest exhaust solution. Bolts directly to the turbo downpipe. Highly recommended as stock exhausts restrict airflow.

Performance Aluminum Oil Pan w/ Pre-tapped Oil Line Fitting
150-267
Pre-fitted with a tapped oil return line fitting for quick and easy installation.

Boost Gauge / AEM Wideband AFR Gauge
010-515 / 907-270
Essential for monitoring boost and preventing lean conditions that can lead to engine failure .

Boost Retard & Digital Programmable Distributors
150-266, 009-791
Backs off ignition timing under boost for max performance and safe operation without sacrificing light-throttle economy .

Aluminum Radiators
456-881 (1962-67), 459-666 (1968-76), 459-676 (1977-80)
Direct-fit upgrades designed to handle the turbo's extra thermal load. Improves cooling capacity and reliability, preventing overheating under heavy boost.
Important Technical Advisories
Boost Limits: The base kit wastegate is set to ~6 PSI. While we have tested up to 11 PSI with an intercooler, we strictly advise customers not to exceed 8 PSI to prevent engine knock or catastrophic failure. Going beyond 8 PSI exceeds the flow capacity of the included HIF 44 carburetor.
Exhaust Fitment: If you already have the Moss Tourist Trophy Exhaust (459-075), you'll only need the short downpipe section (459-081) to bolt up . If you have the header kit (459-085), you can discard the header and bolt the rest of the system directly to the Turbo downpipe.
Stage 1/2 Upgrades: Note that the Cold Air Intake and Intercooler kits do not fit 1977-up MGBs with forward-mounted radiators.
