Vacuum Unit, MGB with 41851 or 41813 Distributor
$76.99
Part #
163-703
Application
MGB 1975-76
The original Lucas "Opus" electronic ignition system used through 1979 featured the amplifier module mounted on the distributor body. As this system proved notoriously troublesome and unreliable, all replacements made as of 1980 were of the C.E.I. (Constant Energy Ignition) type, with a remotely mounted amplifier. This has caused much confusion during the intervening years when replacement components have been required. Order parts based on your distributor number. This unit is Lucas 54428147 and fits C.E.I. distributor numbers 41851 & 41813. This part is made in the USA to exacting standards and features original markings. If your vacuum unit is original, chances are excellent the diaphragm is no longer serviceable and your MGB is being robbed of performance and fuel mileage.
