A bit of history:
The octagon logo is understood to have been designed by Ted Lee, a "Cost Accountant" at Morris Garages. It first appeared as an advert in The Oxford Times on March 2, 1923 and was used in most M.G. advertising following that release. The two-letter acronym then became the symbol for Morris Garages. The M.G. Car Company was formed in March of 1928, however the "MG" octagon emblem was not yet registered as a trademark! That took a further month, finally being registered in April of 1928.
However, the date noted as 'claimed first use' was incorrect, labelled on the application as May 1, 1924, (likely taken from the what was available on-hand to prove its use). This error is why many owners believe that "MG" started in 1924, or even in 1928, when the trademark was claimed. That claim was muddled even more when in 1975, under British Leyland management, MG was desperate to move stock of MGB GTs, released a falsely-labelled "50th anniversary" model named 'Jubilee' which is now known to be 2 years late.

- All Classic British products are warrantied to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of invoice.
- All superchargers, supercharger components, and supercharger hardware are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from date of invoice.
- Moss Motors, Ltd. will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that fails in service within the warranty period. This warranty does not cover labor, failure of related components, normal wear of brake or clutch components or failure resulting from alteration, misuse, accidental damage, faulty installation, or faulty repair.
- Warranty requests should be submitted to our sales department and must be supported by the original Moss Motors purchase invoice and documentation of the failure.
