5-speed Conversion Kit, MG TD-TF

The MG T-series were built to be enjoyed. Unfortunately, getting around in modern traffic can be a less than enjoyable experience with the high speeds and impatient drivers. A Moss Motors 5-speed conversion will increase your enjoyment by reducing engine revs and noise at highway speeds and eliminating the worry of an unsynchronized first gear at stoplights and in stop and go traffic.
With the "Type 2" kit the engine stays in its normal position. A piece of the gearbox supporting chassis tube is removed and replaced with a new crossmember piece. This crossmember bolts onto the two chassis tube stubs and is very strong, restoring the chassis strength to normal.
Each kit is complete and includes: Rebuilt Ford T9 Gearbox, Cast Alloy Bell Housing, Spigot Bushing, Modified Front Engine Mounts, Rear Gearbox Mounts, Rear Crossmember, Molded ABS Transmission Cover, Chrome Gear Lever Assembly, Clutch Disc, Speedometer Cable, Driveshaft, all required Bolts & Fasteners, and Detailed Instructions. Your speedometer will need to be calibrated to be accurate.

- All Classic British products are warrantied to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of invoice.
- All superchargers, supercharger components, and supercharger hardware are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from date of invoice.
- Moss Motors, Ltd. will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that fails in service within the warranty period. This warranty does not cover labor, failure of related components, normal wear of brake or clutch components or failure resulting from alteration, misuse, accidental damage, faulty installation, or faulty repair.
- Warranty requests should be submitted to our sales department and must be supported by the original Moss Motors purchase invoice and documentation of the failure.
