After months of painstaking development and testing, Moss Motors is pleased to introduce its Jaguar six-cylinder timing cover. As any Jaguar engine builder knows, most original timing covers are now highly corroded and repairing one - if even possible - requires specialist welding and machining and far exceeds the cost of our replacement.
Like the originals, this is a superior high-pressure die casting and not a sand casting. Quality is excellent and you will appreciate how the Moss engineering team sweated the details and seemingly endless tally of critical dimensions and interfaces.
Our cover is a hybrid that fits early and later applications with either size water pump impeller. As such, this part fits the vast majority of Jaguar six-cylinder engines. However, it does not fit XK120; XK140 before Engine G.1907; MK VII A-Series engines; MK VII B-Series engines or MK VII Engine D.1001 to D.6722.
Studs, gaskets, and other mounting hardware not included. Cover requires final machining/milling when mated to your engine block to provide proper dimensions and sealing. Please read the attached Installation Tips document before ordering.
Moss part number 861-411 replaces factory numbers C8614, C8614/1, C28480 and EAC2061.

- All Classic British products are warrantied to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of invoice.
- All superchargers, supercharger components, and supercharger hardware are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from date of invoice.
- Moss Motors, Ltd. will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that fails in service within the warranty period. This warranty does not cover labor, failure of related components, normal wear of brake or clutch components or failure resulting from alteration, misuse, accidental damage, faulty installation, or faulty repair.
- Warranty requests should be submitted to our sales department and must be supported by the original Moss Motors purchase invoice and documentation of the failure.
