This is an excellent reproduction of the original radiator and engine-block drain tap. These often leaked or quickly plugged with sediment, rendering them useless. This tap replicates the orignal appearance, but is non-functioning; simply remove it to drain the coolant. Copper sealing washer is C2296/3 (one requried). Jaguar also specified fiber washer C316 -- use as required to align the tap vertically.
In January, 1969, Jaguar replaced the drain tap with a plain bolt. This happened at engines 7R.5543 (E-Type OTS and FHC); 7R.37655 (E-Type 2+2); 7L.4384 (XJ6 Series I 4.2) and 7D.59989 (420G).

- Moss Motors, Ltd. will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that fails in service within the warranty period. This warranty does not cover labor, failure of related components, normal wear of brake or clutch components or failure resulting from alteration, misuse, accidental damage, faulty installation, or faulty repair.
