Ordering and Shipping Information
RETAIL
- Shipping is calculated on the regular retail price before any discounts.
- Orders placed by 3 p.m. your local time are normally shipped same day when shipped by UPS Ground Preferred or UPS Air.
- We will ship by Ground Saver unless an alternate shipping method is specified.
- Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico must choose either AK/HI/PR Saver or UPS Air (see info below shipping chart).
OVERSIZE/HEAVY PARTS FEE
Some parts or shipments may be excessively large or heavy. These items are indicated by the OVERSIZE FEE icon. An oversize parts fee (per item) will be applied to your order, including free shipping orders. You can find the amount of the fee by selecting items on MossMotors.com or calling 1-800-667-7872. The oversize parts fee will not be charged on orders that ship by truck freight. For orders shipped by air that are over 40 lb, we reserve the right to charge actual shipping and will notify you in advance.
TRUCK SHIPMENT FEE
Some parts must be shipped truck freight. Orders shipped to the 48 Contiguous States will be charged a flat $199. Orders shipped to Canada will be charged a flat rate of $279.
UPS DELIVERY SERVICE (48 STATES)
- Saturday Delivery: Available on UPS Next Day Air and UPS 2nd Day Air orders for an additional $16.00 (Saturday delivery is not available in all areas).
- Actual Shipping Cost: For orders shipped by UPS Next Day Air that are over 40 lb., by weight or dimensions, we reserve the right to charge actual shipping and will notify you in advance.
- Notes on Delivery Guarantees: UPS Next Day Air is guaranteed. Second Day Air is not guaranteed (please see details from UPS here.)
- UPS Business Days: Monday to Friday
- UPS Holidays: UPS observes specific holidays when operations are closed, which can vary by region and service.
- Delivery Services: Different UPS services (like UPS Ground, UPS Next Day Air, etc.) may have different delivery timelines based on these business days
P.O. BOX, A.P.O. OR F.P.O.
- A.P.O., F.P.O. and P.O. Box orders are not guaranteed and will be shipped via USPS.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Do you ship outside the U.S.?
Absolutely. After placing items in your shopping cart, proceed to the checkout area. Complete the Shipping and Billing information, including selecting your country. If your country is not in our drop-down list, we are unable to ship orders to that country. We ship orders via US Mail or UPS. The most reliable way to ship internationally is by UPS. There are however, more duties and taxes associated with these carriers when the package arrives in your country. If you are not familiar with the customs laws and fees in your country, please check with your local customs office for more information. US Mail is less expensive but in our experience, not as reliable because they are not the ones bringing the package to your doorstep.
Please note that you may need to pay additional import fees, taxes, brokerage fees, and handling fees to receive your order.
These additional fees are not collected or controlled by Moss Motors. Also, you might be contacted by your local customs office concerning payment of customs fees, or to receive final delivery of your order. Customs processing of your shipment might cause delays in the delivery of your package. Please make sure you are familiar with your country's customs process and fee structure before you order - so you know what to expect. Please note that we prefer not to use the US Post Office for overseas shipments due to the lack of complete tracking information available from the Post Office, and because of the longer delivery times.
Orders delivered outside of the USA may take additional time to ship due to additional documentation and payment verification.
- All import costs and fees including duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
- First-time orders and some larger orders may require payment by wire transfer.
- Orders may require a shipping quote and customer approval prior to shipping.
- Customer assumes liability for any disputes or damages when providing their own shipping arrangements.
- Orders are shipped by Air Post when possible. At times, Canada Post may use ground shipping for delivery.
- Shipping charges on orders under $700 are calculated in the cart during website checkout.
- Orders under $700 that are heavier than 40 lbs. (by weight or dimensions) will be charged actual shipping.
- Orders over $700 will be charged actual shipping.

- It also assumes that we can ship from the nearest warehouse. Items shipped from the alternate warehouse will take longer.

PAYMENT
- We have a $5 minimum parts order, excluding tax and shipping.
- We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, certified check and money order.
- Due to increasing fraud, some foreign orders may require additional documentation to process your order.
- Orders over $10,000, foreign or domestic, may need to be paid by wire transfer.
WHEN YOUR ORDER ARRIVES
- Please remember to inspect your parts immediately upon receipt of your order.
- Should your order arrive in damaged condition, immediately inform a Moss Motors' customer service representative at 1-800-689-9313.
- Claims for damage during shipping must be reported within 3 days of receipt of order.
- Keep original box and packing material.
- If your order was shipped truck freight, note damage on the bill of lading when signing the delivery receipt.
- If there are any other questions about your order, contact customer service within 10 days.
SPECIAL ORDER & DIRECT SHIP PARTS
Require pre-payment by cashiers check or credit card and may not be cancelled or returned.
BACKORDERS
- Occasionally, we are out of stock on some items, which we will ship to you as soon as available.
- Backorders are shipped free but carry a backorder fee of $3.49 per $25 of value. (The combined total for original order shipping, and all backorder fees, shall never exceed the total shipping charges quoted on the shipping chart on this page.)
- You may request "No Backorders" or cancel backorders at any time prior to shipping.
- We do not backorder to any foreign countries, including Canada.
- Backorders are sent by the most cost effective method, not necessarily the same method as the original order.
WARRANTY
- All products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship by the original equipment manufacturer or Moss Motors, Ltd., for 24 months from the date of shipment.
- We will replace the product or refund your purchase price at our discretion.
- The warranty does not cover labor, failure of a related component, failure resulting from faulty installation, nor would the liability of Moss Motors exceed the cost of the original component.
- Warranty requests should be submitted to our sales department and must be supported by the original Moss Motors purchase invoice and documentation of the failure.
SALES TAX
Due to Wayfair Supreme Court Decision we are required to collect sales tax on goods and freight according to each state’s law.
Alabama Simplified Sellers Use Tax:
Moss Motors will collect simplified sellers use tax on taxable transactions delivered into Alabama and the tax will be remitted on the customer’s behalf to the Alabama Department of Revenue. Moss Motors program account number is SSU-R010439133
On the shopping cart checkout page, your sales tax shown will be estimated. Actual sales tax will be calculated at the time of order fulfillment. If your business is tax-exempt, please contact us at (800) 667-7872 to apply your tax exempt status.

RETURNS

Changes & Cancellations
Can I make changes to my order?
If your order has not already been processed you can make changes to your order. Please call us direct at 1-800-667-7872 as soon as possible during business hours to request modifications. We are not able to change items in your shopping cart, or add additional items to your order once your order has been completed. Changes can be made to any order that hasn't been sent to the warehouse. Please note that our order fulfillment and shipping systems are designed to get orders on their way quickly and efficiently. Therefore, once the order has been processed our customer service staff will not be able to make any changes to it. You may however return the package to us once you have received it for a refund.
What's your cancellation policy?
You have the ability to cancel your order, as long as it hasn't been sent to our warehouse for processing. To cancel your order call us at 1-800-667-7872 as soon as possible during business hours. Any order that hasn't been sent to the warehouse can be canceled. Your credit card will not be charged, and the order will be deleted permanently. It's that simple! Please note that our order fulfillment and shipping systems are designed to get orders on their way quickly and efficiently. Therefore, once the order has been sent to our warehouse for processing, neither you nor our customer service staff will be able to cancel it. You may however return the package to us once you have received it for a refund.
Address Verification
Why was I asked to send in address verification?
Sometimes, when an order is placed with a discrepancy between the billing and the shipping addresses, or with a billing address outside the US, or the order is above a certain value, our ordering system will flag the transaction for manual review. In these circumstances, we request physical documentation of the billing address on the order in question to make sure that the order has been placed by the account holder. At Moss Motors we take your security and privacy very seriously. We hope you understand that when we have to take extra security measures such as this, we do it to protect you as well as Moss Motors.
Unfortunately, without this documentation, we are unable to complete the processing of your order. If we do not receive the requested documentation within two weeks of your initial order date, your order will automatically be canceled. If you can't provide documentation of the billing address on your order, you will need to cancel your current order and reorder using the proper billing address for your credit card. Once we receive and process your documentation, you should not need to provide it on subsequent orders.
